This is the image for the news article titled December 2016 NewsletterGreetings! Please find the December 2016 issue of The Foothills Review. You will be introduced to recent Foothills graduate Curtavious Gainey. Curtavious was recently released from the Burruss Correctional Facility after a surprise announcement last month. His good behavior in the facility and his excellent efforts toward completing his high school diploma earned him this special privilege. We couldn’t be prouder.

Curtavious has been invited and has accepted the honor of speaking at the December 9, 2016 regional Foothills Education Charter High School graduation cemetery to be held at Clarke Foothills (7:00pm). Curtavious has an inspirational and motivational story to share. This will be a graduation ceremony you will want to see.

We are busy getting ready for the opening of Morgan and Glynn Foothills in January 2017. We already have over 100 students already enrolled. We are in conversation with the Walton County School District and Social Circle City Schools to determine the best location for Walton Foothills which will also open July 2017. We are working on the replication application for Coastal Plains Education Charter High School that will open July 2017. We will be working with Candler and other counties to expand the Foothills opportunity.

Foothills is working. Foothills is expanding. Foothils is replicating. Life is good in this charter world. Making a difference one student at a time.

Have a wonderful holiday season.
