Mission and Vision for CTAE in Georgia:
Mission: To educate Georgia's future workforce by providing experience for Georgia students that will prepare them for the workplace success.
Vision: Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education will provide educational experiences of superior quality and value for students that drive economic prosperity for all.
Foothills Career, Technical, and Agriculture Education strives to:
- Increase the number of students enrolled in a CTAE course and/or Work-Based Learning
- Increase the number of students who complete a CTAE pathway
- Increase partnerships with local technical colleges to provide additional completion of career cluster pathways
- Build employer partnerships
- Assist students in finding work-based learning opportunities or employment that aligns with their career choices
- Increase the number of Workforce Development Courses and CTAE pathways offered
Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) is dedicated to preparing students for 21st-century workplace careers by providing high-quality educational opportunities that support the economy with an educated workforce. CTAE integrates core academic knowledge with technical and occupational skills to prepare students for post-secondary education and the workforce. Each year, nearly 690,000 Georgia middle school and high school students participate in Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) courses offered by their local school district. These courses expose students to career pathways, teach them employability skills, and prepare them to enter the workforce, a university, a technical college, military service, or a registered apprenticeship. CTAE prepares students for careers that are high-skill, high-wage, and high-demand. Georgia offers 17 career clusters, each with multiple career pathways to choose from.

Foothills CTAE
Foothills Regional High Schools offers students a career and technology-based education that integrates core academic knowledge with technical skills to prepare them for post-secondary education and the workforce. Regardless of whether students are headed to technical school, college or the workforce, this type of education will prepare them for the future. In fact, college-bound students can get job experiences to help them define their career plans, identify an appropriate course of study, and help pay for tuition.
