This is the image for the news article titled Foothills Newsletter April 2018We have been working very hard at Foothills Education Charter High School. In this month's issue of The Foothills Review you will learn about our new partnership with the National Guard. Each high school in Georgia (and our nation) has students who need this option. I am so pleased that Foothills will be the high school diploma or credit recovery option for those who choose to participate.

You will also enjoy the success story of another Foothills graduate. Jacalyn needed another pathway to earn her high school diploma so that she could take care of herself and her new baby. The Barrow Foothills staff provided support and guidance to this young mother so that she could move on to the next stage of her life by successfully earning a high school diploma. Well done everyone.

This newsletter highlights what Foothills is all about - providing options for earning a high school diploma and working with students to create a pathway to achieve this goal in a way that works for them in their life situation.

In our next newsletter issue we will share the 10 graduation dates this spring. We love graduation season. Each ceremony is a public recognition of a very meaningful achievement by students, families, and Foothills staff.

Regards,

Sherrie Gibney-Sherman, Ed.D.
